Regarding white South Africans, I'm willing to bet the ones he met were the more affluent professional types. The ones who when Apartheid ended benefited massively from the end of international sanctions. The upwardly mobile sort who can afford to move to safer neighborhoods. They also tend to have dual nationality and investments that are mobile enough that they'll do OK if the South Africa ever goes like Zimbabwe, and they have to leave the country.

I'm quite sympathetic to the Boers, but I have to agree with Ian that I don't think it's quite a genocide. Frequent racially-motivated murders do not a genocide make (or is Black lynching now a genocide?).
BUT, I would say that it's a dangerous game to downplay them. The environment in South Africa right now is exactly the environment that genocides are born in. All the warning signs are there. A government that actually encourages the attacks with their words. No order. Actual attacks. They're a few steps from Rwanda. McCollum probably just doesn't realize how bad the situation is.
If he is an Antifa sympathizer, fuck him.

I’ve watched almost every one of his videos, and I’ve never seen anything that was a major red flag. He provides an awesome service for free so I don’t really care if he’s a hippy.

Where South Africa falls under genocide is that the state of the nation is so poor that whites are fleeing the nation faster than they can be replaced. I like Karl, but I get the impression that sometimes he's hard work to be around. Occasionally he'll make a few snarky comments on camera, that should really have been made behind the scenes (if they needed to be made at all). I think it's probably tough for him to watch Forgotten Weapons eclipse Inrange to the extend that it has.
The Satan worshiping is actually quite funny, and it's not something I think should be taken entirely seriously. However hiring a woman he's in a relationship with, is an idiotic move. Particularly as I haven't seen any improvement in quality for the InRangeTv content. I thought his intent was to make more history videos, like the one he did on Pancho Villas raid on Columbus new Mexico. However he still seems to be stuck in the rut of trying to make his shooting matches a spectator sport.

The chieftain has started using the YouTube premiere function and will chat with the viewers watching it live. Also he interacts with other YouTubers, Military History Visualised, Great War, TIK etc. If you message him on Patreon he will usually at least acknowledge he's read the message.
When he first started the Patreon he was almost embarrassed, and went out of his way to explain what the money was being used for.
I like Forgotten Weapons and InRange, and I rate both Ian and Karl, however I think they occasionally get a bit contemptuous of their fan base. For Example the Bolt guns are obsolete (which they are) row. That could have been a lot of fun, had a bit of banter back and forth. Ian however got his back up and injected an unnecessary element of snark, when he responded to Patreons that held a wrong opinion.
LOL in his recent Q and A video Ian makes a point of saying he'll drink pretty much anything apart from Absinthe. I wonder who that's directed at.

I'm not a Christian, but from my reading on the topic, Satanism as a whole is very much an edgy dog and pony show. Even supposed "traditional" Satanism was either some gnostic edgelords reading poetry about how great Lucifer is to one another or just a degenerate inversion of Catholicism which involved orgies and perverting the sacraments (crushing communion wafers and mixing them with menstrual blood and semen, for example) depending on which Medieval sources you believe. I'd say the most "extreme" version of modern Satanism is probably the O9A, but their doctrine is so radical, esoteric, and ascetic that they almost sound more like an urban legend than a real thing.
There's a lot of statistical trickery that various (((people))) use to attempt to obfuscate the reality of an ethnic cleansing phenomenon over there.
For instance, the Plaasmoorde killings are inherently a phenomenon that is disproportionately affecting the rural, Boer population. It's in the name: Plaas moorde, Farm murders. Obviously if you average out the murder rate of the isolated and far-flung rural Boers with that of the urban Afrikaners living in gated communities with 24/7 armed security patrol, it will not appear so striking a figure.

At the end of the day Ian is just running a business by making informative gun videos, and I think he's smart in knowing that if he touches on more controversial topics like potential genocides he risks getting his channel derailed by /pol/ & /k/ and a quickfire excuse to be banned.
