Are they planning to integrate 3 with the first two for a truly massive world conquest campaign?
Yes they're intending to have it be integrated into another Mortal Empires map. Same deal as with two, you face them all but can only directly play what you own. They said that was the plan before the proper WAR3 announcement, they even adjusted the map further east before even announcing it though people were expecting Chaos Dwarfs at launch.

Lack of Ogre Kingdoms in 3 so far is makin me sad tbh. Really wanting to play as my big dumb idiots.
On the positive, they will likely be DLC, which means we are probably getting 4 lords from the start, with a potential for updates much later on in the game life cycle.

Can't wait to play Kislev. They have been described as a mashup of the Empire and Dwarfs. Good lines that hold, mixed weapon units, faster but squishier Cav and good lores of magic.

Has there been any further word on what they're doing as the day one race pack for Warhammer 3 yet?
None yet. They have really just gotten the ball rolling on WH3 info. Because I like this series a lot/am autistic, I compared info release dates to Warhammer 2 info dates. They are quite literally at the start of maybe a 5-6+ months timeframe of info coming out on a monthly basis. What they have put out is about the equivalent of the Lizardmen in game trailer (May 11th).
We have a fuck load more to learn, in addition to a likely WH2 DLC coming next month (confirmed by devs that it's not coming in May) as well as their other games like 3K, info release is going to be a slow process over months.

Oh of course they will be. I just want em in by default cuz I love my ogre boys tbh. I'm really hoping the Ninja Maneater is a hero of some kind since that's one of my favorite models.

We probably can look forward to Chaos Dwarves + Ogre Kingdoms as DLC, though the mystery dlc preorder for 3 is still dangling above our heads. I don't know if they have any more surprises, admittedly but hey, you never know. I wasn't expecting Cathay at all. Maybe we'll get Nippon too lmao.

I'm holding out for the Dogs of War, still. I want Catrazzo's Birdmen and I want them 3 years ago. Halflings with swan cavalry would also be acceptable.

Considering that they've said that every faction with an army book from 8th edition will be in, that means Ogre Kingdoms and Chaos Dwarfs are certain, presumably as the Tomb Kings/Vampire Coast equivalents for WH3. Which means the pre-order race pack will probably be something like additional Norscan tribes to tie in with the big Chaos theme, whilst not losing out on a load of money by giving away something really good and guaranteed massive sales like Dwarfs with big hats.

It’s not happening.
You're a mean one, Chairman Yang - I hope mindworms eat The Hive dead

Really want to see what GW decided to do with the chinks Cathay. From the little snippets of lore they are meant to be hype as fuck. Take every Chinese myth stereotype and throw it into Warhammer.
Agreed. There's very little about them we know aside from that. Also, Nippon might be a thing thanks to modders. And if not... SHAMEFUR DISPRAY.

Yes, Nippon is an actual nation, and yes, they're as stereotypical as anything else in Warhammer Fantasy, and yes, there's even less mentioned of them than Cathay.

I've beaten the Western Empire on legendary for both Attila and Rome and I think the fall of the Samurai campaign is still the hardest on legendary.

You literally have no money if you want to rush in the early game, and by the time you build up a nice little state your enemies have ironclads and artillery.

Independence runs in this game are something you both have to plan for and be very lucky in.
The only WH game I played was the first one. I just didn't get on with it and I'm not entirely sure why. I like both TW and WHF, but the game seemed gimmicky and sterile. Like I said in my wall of text post on the last page, it feels like a theme park, dragging you by the nose from one "cool bit" to another. That's fine for some games (shooters, Uncharted-style adventure games) but for strategy games I find it really annoying. A sandbox experience where you can try different strategies or do gimmick/challenge runs once you've mastered it, that's my idea of a good time.

I haven't really liked a TW game since Medieval 2 (which I got relatively recently). I tried Empire looking for a more old-school experience, but it was horribly unstable, the naval combat was boring and confusing, and the AI in both the strategy and RTS bits was dumb as rocks, even by the standards of an older TW game.

Those people are gay retards. I've not seen much of that myself though, but I guess the Youtubers I watch (Many a True Nerd, Lugotorix, LegendofTotalWar) are all hardcore fans of the old games like me so the remaster is right up their street.

Many a True Nerd had a very valid criticism that actually stopped me from buying the game. Max population games are the best way to play it and units not taking max population from settlements to be recruited or replenished defeats the whole purpose. With max population the original Rome was a genuine empire simulator. You developed a core and colonized your frontier.

I legit forgot how bullshit War Dogs are in RTW. I didn't use them as much, but it's really great at ripping through light armored targets.

Very much having fun with it. I probably should just leave all the factions open since I kinda want to play Carthage, but fuck it. I'll play it the old way in how you unlock things.

The devs added that system back in response to his feedback, and you can turn the system on and off in the options menu.

They included the option to use the old population recruitment system after people bitched about its absence, it's been in since release.

2nd legendary lord for Kislev has been revealed for Total War: Warhammer 3. No, it is not Boris Ursun like many may expect, it's fucking Rasputin.

AKA Kostaltyn, Supreme Patriarch of the Cult of Ursun, Leader of the Great Orthodoxy. Who is this guy in lore?
Well...
Uhm...
Ahh....
He's an OC between GW and CA. There is no lore on this guy.
