At its core it is, but it also has 4 difficulty options at the start of the game, you have to select the hardest option to make it a souls like and is probably the best/intended way to play the game, the light saber boss battles at that level really just click. The difficulty below that still feels souls like but if you were over leveled a bit for the area.
