I think the question here is whether or not he wears the individual items thinking "mmmm yeah now I'll look just like Vinyl!" I would imagine he does.

He's almost always wearing one item from that cosplay. If it's not the skirt it's those awful sunglasses. Remember, he was arrested during the pepper spray incident wearing the glasses. It's obvious the character means something to him.

At least pre-Tomgirl, he had his own eclectic odd style that wasn't completely stolen and extremely inappropriate teetering into completely insane.
I can understand Chris wanting to be unique and individual, but painting a pony to match your terrible hair style and slutty clothing is just WTF. To be more accurate in his representation, Chris should track down a doll of Dale Gribble from king of the hill down, slap the same clothes and hairstyle (with balding) and call it a day.
