The thing is, Chris still desperately wants to believe, and wants others to believe, that Sonichu/Rosechu fanbase is on the rise and will be in the billions again. His ego, as has often been said, is that overwhelming. And, if fan art happens because of things that he, the Great Director, decrees, then that would inflate said ego still more. 'Look how much all of these people love me and my masterpiece!'

Whereas Idea Guy instigated the changes. Chris, oddly, will apparently meekly go along with things that others suggest, if they only have the right in.
