The laziest form of argumentation imaginable: laughing at someone's argument instead of addressing it. It doesn't even require the ability to speak, just the ability to fake a laugh. I find it peculiar that during his CRT research yesterday, Destiny had an immediate, repulsive reaction towards a superchat message suggesting that he refer to "enlightened centrists" PSA Sitch and Adam Friended, who have already been doing a lot of investigation into it. It's not like Destiny isn't open to sources to his Right, and those two have repeatedly expressed fondness for him in turn, so does he harbor some one-sided personal beef with them or something?

I know the enlightened centrism thing is a meme, but it seems to pose a bit of a threat to these debate bros. There is a real power to being able to admit that everyone, no matter where they sit on the political spectrum, can at least have a valid political point about something. It might seem obvious to most people, I remember there's a Chomsky quote that goes something along the lines of "There are issues on which I probably agree with Hitler, but that doesn't really mean anything", but a lot of these debate bros are autistic, and not being able to put their debate opponents in some nice neat box can be challenging to them. To be fair, the cartoon Jew and hollywood script doctor do seem to actually know what they're talking about a lot of the time, and Vaush in particular has a habit of not facing challenging opponents.

I took a further look at Yang's policy regarding the mentally ill, and it turns out people are taking what he says out of context. His issue is not just that people with severe mental illness are walking the streets.
His issue is that people are often attacked physically by the homeless and that they need to be taken to psychiatric wards to prevent them from harming other people and themselves.
People do fear the homeless for a good reason. You do not want to have a drug addict grabbing you by the arm and dragging you off to a back alley to get raped and stabbed. You just don't.
I have encountered plenty of homeless people in the past, and let me tell you that the majority are not friendly. One time, I even had to swing a 2x4 at a crazy hobo that tried to rob me. These people need help and need it BADLY.

Didn't he say he only "debates" to gain subscribers? It looks as if he is trying to keep competent people away with his debate terms. Him wanting to select a biased moderator seems to stem from his humiliation when trying to debate Sargon. Speaking of not agreeing, Vaush takes completely retarded opinions to be the enlightened contrarian at times. The other debater or the commenters tear him apart to where he feels the need to noncelantly post a defense after the stream. He tries to emulate Destiny in how he interacts with the commenters which makes sense given he used to be a Destiny sperg.

Yes. His debate form (the thing you fill out in his discord to request to debate with him) is explicitly written to filter out intellegent people who have something better to do with their time in favor of discord spergs and /pol/locks. The reason so many of Vaush's debates are with screaming retards is because of this.

Say what you will about Destiny, the one thing I'll always give him credit for is that he's not gonna run from a debate, especially not a high profile one. This has put him in some really unfavorable positions, whether it be outright conceding that race is real to JF, arguing in favor of a land invasion of Mexico with Metokur, or trying to debate geopolitics with Ryan Dawson of all people. He'll try to spin that kind of thing or deny it after the fact, but my point is at least he shows up.

There are things people freak out over that don't warrant it but some of the examples above were responses to activists pushing cultural change on people and their children which gives them a valid grievance. You don't let people take an inch and humiliate you into submission.
Frankly, the "both sides" rhetoric from fake centrists undermines discourse. It encourages a false belief that "both sides" have the same values overall and are open in their intentions.
