His success isn't even really from comics, it's from toy manufacturing - and as you know, it was from licensing mainstream IPs which is something you can never do, with your CG poopjacket on. And that thing is melted onto you now, you can never take it off, like the Rhino's costume.

I figured when Kelsey showed up out of the blue to sling shit the week Soulfinder: Black Tide was to be released there was going to be an avalanche of drama and DM's if the right people were cajoled.


As we see now Doug's DM's are about him being upset Kelsey was joining in with WC brigades against his team (Lim, Pellegrini and Weldon?) and Cecil & Kelsey shitting on him in a stream which led to his backers and subscribers blowing up his email asking what he did to piss off upstanding drunken sperg diabetics like Cecil and Kelsey.

PAD is actually kindof the worst, with dozens of issues ruined by his moralizing and inability to write more than two or three characters.

Our regular Comicsgate News Update is now adding a new segment reporting on the latest news from CreatorGo, especially after the startling discovery that failed Comicsgate projects are removed from the site. I had previously been tracking the number of Comicsgate books launched in CG2021 and had recorded a record 54 in the first three months of the year. • As previously reported Jeff Hicks from World Class Bullshitters relaunched a variant cover for his original trashfire Stealing Solo, called The Fandom Menace edition. The book is a reprint with a new Anna (That Star Wars Girl) variant cover and has raised $32,267 from 511 backers as of writing.
• Pop culture commentators Clownfish TV launched a hardcover set of their webcomic called Shadowbinders, in what is described as a second chance campaign. The book has raised $46,307 from 599 backers as of writing and offers over 300 pages for $60.
• Graham Nolan's Alien Alamo has entered indemand raising $70,181 from 1105 backers during the course of it's 60 day campaign.
• Donkey Madness has extended his campaign by an additional 30 days on Shotgun Samurai, the campaign sitting at $4,058 from 103 backers. Shotgun Samurai features a cover from Xenotype artist Ody and offers over 200 pages of black & white manga for $20.

Meanwhile make sure to check your mailboxes as extremely overdue book Monster MD has been shipped out and reports are coming in people have received their books. In addition it would appear that Earthworm Jim 2 has began finding its way into backer's hands and Kamen America 3 is also in the process of fulfillment.

It would appear everybody's favorite frog comic creator has been blocked by Valiant Comics on twitter. It is currently unknown why the company that produced such quality work like plus sized heroine Faith blocked @FROG, however I'm sure we can all speculate.

Bean from PA issued a statement in response to fellow kiwi @TESTEFY-HD's post here, in which it was reported she had since left Preston's discord server due to the content shared among it's members. Bean rather left the public discord because of a lack of privacy, which expecting in a public server sounds absurd.

The online feud between Youtube commentator DA Talks and Comicsgate™ creator, Preston Knight and fellow kiwi @Skinny continues to escalate with the former claiming that Skinny intended to use backer information from his book Otis Stein to dox @VIkkiVerse. The origin of these claims come from a screenshot from a private DM group of Preston Poulter's which was aired on a livestream several days ago, that will be featured in our Youtube segment below. The tweet was in response to another screenshot presumably taken from Preston's infamous discord server, where Skinny was bragging about the pair potentially losing their platforms.

Our first video follows up from the previous twitter topic, in which DA Talks and fellow kiwi @VIkkiVerse hosted their weekly CGDG stream. Joining the two this week is Well Read User, former wrench of Liam's chat and host of crowdfunded comic review streams. The topic again this week was Preston Poulter in which many DMs were released including a group chat in which Skinny appears to suggest doxing Vikki or passing her information along to Warcampaign, Skinny would later join the live chat and insist he was "just joking." Another interesting DM leak was what appeared to be a Preston Knight "Barry L Merritt" imply that Preston should blackmail Kiwifarms to have his posting privileges restored, a moderator removed or he would sue Kiwifarms, Preston would later answer that he is preparing to sue DA Talks, Vikki and Kiwifarms.

Jon Del Arroz/@TheCosmicWarrior did a stream to promote Shotgun Samurai and was joined by @TESTEFY-HD, DA Talks and later by @FROG at the [1:32:05] mark. The big news is obviously the Preston discord drama taking front and center and the fallout from afterwards. Then of course all these Doug Ernst DMs being dropped since recently Kelsey Shannon/@Kelsey decided to join us. I have a potential story I might break soon in a following post, however I'm just confirming permission with my source before I inform the thread on it. I'm also considering a monthly update post for overdue Comicsgate Crowdfunded books, which at the moment is a rather ambitious project since there's so fucking many of them.

Once again I know zero of the history with that or any backstory but I do have experience with people who come from nothing and are suddenly worth tens/hundreds of millions of dollars. The next day friends turn on them expecting a piece. For every one that's thrown a bone five more show up. It sounds like a dick move but you really have to make an example out of the first to dissuade the rest. Setting a precedent by paying one of your former friends only encourages everyone else to lawyer up and stand in line. If you don't sue first they will. Big money changes everything. Everything.

Just a guess but I bet that's what his lawyers told him too.
