Sweet, more samey Chinese 1x optics. Shits going to look like the early 00s AR market with all the shitty vendors copying each other.

Can't speak to their quality, but the Hex dots lose a couple of points with me because it looks like they need to be removed from the gun to change the battery.

There are comparable Holosun products that side-load the battery via a tray and are otherwise pretty similar.

What is the best way to find out if an optic is made in China or not? The price tag I guess lol.

On Amazon there are two companies, Pinty and CVLIFE. I bought a Pinty riflescope and it's hard to look through it lol or zeroing it. A piece of garbage rotting in my closet now.

I bought a Sig MRS for my 10 22 a while ago due to brand recognition. But I seen Vortex, Holosun and Eotech charge high prices.

Just google, where is X optic made. Sig, low cost Vortex, and all Holosun are Chinese. Eotech is made in the US but I think some parts come from China now. High end Vortex glass is Japanese, as well as Crimson Trace.

I know Vortex has that plant but I don't think they actually manufacture there, just assemble parts from other places. Sig likes to pull that Made in USA scam because they assemble in NH but all parts are Chinese.

Yeah - Pinty/CVLIFE stuff is airsoft-grade. Same with NCStar stuff.

I've had good luck with most of the decent 'budget' options - Sig, Holosun, Vortex and Primary Arms stuff has generally treated me well and if someone was asking for a decent cheap red dot, I'd point them at the Sig Romeo 5 all day long. Good battery life, they hold zero and are pretty tough for something you can almost always find on sale for $99.

From what I understand, the real deal or elite stuff is the Eotech, Aim point and Leopold.

And I read that Bushnell is also made in the USA but no idea if they are good or not.

I bought a Sig MSR on sale when I got my rifle, which was roughly over a $1000. So far had no problems with it but sometimes I just get consumeristic and wonder if my current optic is good enough lol.

Fighting rifles, you use Aimpoint, Eotech, Trijicon, Nightforce, Elcan, Steiner. This shit is all combat proven.

Bushnell is a good company, they make solid shit for hunting and the range.

Shit like Sig and the rest of the budget chinesium I would just use for the range.

Edit: there are a couple exceptions for Holosun but that's only a few models. I personally have a Holosun 507k X2 on my G43x MOS because Arizona PD testing could not kill it. The only other MRDS they couldn't break was the RMR.

Yea - all of my stuff is at most doing some lightweight competition. I'm not oper8ing in a war zone.

SIG Romeo4, Tango 6T and the Sierra BDX series are all made in USA with either US, German, or mostly Japanese glass. they are required to be in order to meet government contract tenders (because the USG is required to purchase only from US companies that have majority US-made products). SIG also makes a few in Oregon and NH from China and other sourced assemblies. the Romeo Zero is US made in Oregon from a combination of Philippine and Chinese parts and US QA/QM.

foreign made devices are not made of cardboard and wishful thinking. examine each product to determine if it meets your needs. "budget chinesium" is a fantastically inaccurate statement that 40 years ago apply to Russian stuff, 30 years ago could apply to German stuff, or 20 years ago to South American stuff.

suggestion:
an inexpensive "dot" sight for general use that is good enough quality for most people really is the holosun 403 - if it's banged and beat on, it'll work well enough, and if broken, you aren't out $500+. it holds zero and is fairly modern. another option is the bushnell TRS-25. while it, like holosun, is made in china, the inspection and acceptance is done in the US (or holosun in Canada), and are generally very good quality for the money asked.

if you want to insist on a US or "Euro" optic, consider a used CompM2, which is easy enough to find floating around, or the Aimpoint PRO or C-More red dot. the US rarely makes optics anymore because the cost of labor is high enough that the manufacturing costs would price the product out of the market entirely.

He just went on TV and threatened the whole nation.
A bunch of goat fuckers armed with weapons from WW2 in Afghanistan still run the nation and Iraq without American aid is basically a colony of Iran at this point.

These shitlibs are just too insulated from reality and don't even learn from their own media like Star Wars where all these rebels defeat the Empire armed with a cannon able to destroy planets.

Apparently Biden is looking to target firearms dealers.
Essentially it’s in response to investigations showing that there’s gun dealers that willingly violate firearms laws who continue to operate despite multiple ATF warnings, state warnings, etc. These violations are mostly either skipping background checks or knowlingly selling to convicted felons, with the occasional NFA violation thrown in there. The aim is to try and crack down on these dealers.

EDIT: Basically right now the ATF is issuing warnings when it should be revoking licenses for repeated offenses. This is probably because the agency is worried about losing more funding or getting into lengthy and expensive legal battles… which it doesn’t have the funding to wage. Some of these dealers have hundreds of guns suddenly go missing off their inventory lists, without records for payment or transactions. Others falsify records and still get warnings. If a car dealership was doing that, I’d bet there’d be a criminal investigation.

Bought a TA 31 4x32 that I didn't need for 800 today. Private sale that came with a larue mount and scope cover. RIP my wallet, but the price tho!

I've seen some nice Steiner glass for sale which I assume was made in Germany? Didn't know it was combat proven. Any recommendation?

The rest of your list I agree with. Kino brands. Specially Elcan.
