When he tried to do a Nuzlocke run of X/Y (he stopped because of the house fire), he boxed his starter Chespin for a Gogoat because the latter was female. He seemed to be boxing everything male the moment he had a chance to replace it with a female, and at one point may have broken Nuzlocke rules in order to get a female Combee.

His team in XY was utterly terrible. His Delphox had Cut for crying out loud.
