This repeat denial of the Nazis not being socialists and being racial fascists has been repeated for decades. A while back, in 2017, another of these UM, ACTUALLY historians responded to Ian Miles Cheong saying how Hitler totes wasn't a socialist and how he was a racist fascist...despite, you know, things like the 25 Point Plan being exclusively socialist in nature.
Mussolini's fascism had nothing to do with race. It was the unification of the state and corporations. It's in his work. So whenever these leftoids or Redditors talk about how Hitler could not have been socialist but a fascist, not a single one can provide the definition of what fascism actually IS.
BTW, I've read that r/BadHistory thread. I think I am banned from there, actually. That response was a good chunk of whining while not providing context. Goebbels said they were socialists, Hitler wanted socialism for the German people, and, again, it's in their fucking 25 Point Plan. In their manuals.
These same people will also deny the USSR had national Bolshevism, promoting the interests of Slavs over the rest of the minorities in Russia, and was responsible for creating the many -stans you see today.

1. We demand the unification of all Germans in the Greater Germany on the basis of the right of self-determination of peoples.
2. We demand equality of rights for the German people in respect to the other nations; abrogation of the peace treaties of Versailles and St. Germain.
3. We demand land and territory (colonies) for the sustenance of our people and colonisation for our surplus population.
4. Only a member of the race can be a citizen. A member of the race can only be one who is of German blood, without consideration of creed. Consequently, no Jew can be a member of the race.

c. Non-Germans are forbidden by law any financial interest in German publications, or any influence on them, and as punishment for violations the closing of such a publication as well as the immediate expulsion from the Reich of the non-German concerned. We demand legal prosecution of artistic and literary forms which exert a destructive influence on our national life, and the closure of organizations opposing the above demands.

Yeah most of the time the Paradox of Tolerance is being referenced, it's a white leftist misquoting it, ironically using a definition of Tolerance that Karl Popper would never have approved of, to put it simply Popper defined the limit of Tolerance as people responding to opposing views with pistols and fists, rather than the average 21st century SJW definition which considers mean words to be a form of violence as unacceptable as bomb attacks.

Focusing on economics kinda ignores the point of fascism and National Socialism.
There were undeniably Nazis who were socialistic. Ernst Rohm wanted a Second Revolution to topple capitalism and abolish the aristocratic army, and the Strasser brothers were basically just racist communists. However, they were purged in favor of a socially conservative army, large corporate allies, and some weirdos that believed in magic (SS). Some fanatics like Goebbels started out as literal communists, but they shifted more to the Nazi idea of race/guts prevailing over anything by the time they were powerful.
The Nazis weren't about economics like the communists. Hitler appointed Hjalmar Shacht, a socially conservative liberal to go all in on privatization and austerity. The Nazis created a few social programs to make up for this, but German workers got it harder under this regime, and most of the social programs were intentionally made as fraudulent long-term programs that never paid out (Volkswagon). This liberal regime made the Germany economy very productive, but the Nazis only did this because they thought it would help them rearm. Hitler then put Goering in charge of the economy specifically because he knew nothing about economics and was committed to re-arming. Shacht's privatized empire was replaced by state-corporate partnerships, state industries, and central planning. It was all about re-arming. Nazi economics is get big army as fast as possible and steal shit from other countries.
Same with Franco and Pinochet. They initially had autarkic regimes that valued central planning. Pinochet pretty much immediately purged his Falangists in favor of a group of Austrian-School loving Chileans who trained in Chicago. It took Franco a decade and his Spanish Miracle made the country a developed one. Latin/Italian-Fascism is just about rejecting leftism and much of that is just cultural. The economy is a secondary matter.
Kinda funny how they refuse to acknowledge that communist states have only arisen in feudal/colonized places.
