Despite most of Chris' fanbase revolving around his antics, in his mind, they're loyal fans. Kind of like he eventually believed Clyde and him were buddies after burying the hatchet.
Chris just doesn't pick up on the fact that someone is fucking with him. It's like in those various interviews with him where the interviewer is painfully obviously talking to Chris in a sarcastic tone but he's just oblivious.
Fatty continues to glom onto not just Tara but the recent London attack as well.

What does he mean by the passengers anyway? One terrorist drove a car into a crowd of people killing two and then got out and killed a police officer. If he's going to involve himself he could at least have a loose idea about what actually happened
To be fair, a lot of people think that.
I agree, the passenger thing threw me for a loop, and I thought, "Oh, it's just Chris, and he's retarded"
I think because that peace symbol thingee looks like an airplane and that's about all the research he did.
He does seem to imagine terrorist attacks in recent memories as being things that drove into other things and people died.
He probably thinks that Britain has its own version of the Twin Towers and someone crashed an airplane into it. I don't see how Chris can truly empathize or sympathize with this situation.
