And when the collapse finally happens, Biden will have signed universal basic income into law a week prior, and Phil will keep the house and wheelchairs will have more money than ever to throw at him, and he will stream until he dies in his office producing the fun, pahsitive gameplay he loves so much. There are only two types of people who can stand to follow Phil for any real length of time: folks like us who laugh at him, and folks who are just like Phil, if not worse (in certain respects). Take KG, for example. He, and a few others I'm sure, basically lives vicariously through Phil. Their emotions are his emotions. This is why the only thing that drives a wedge between them and their Gout Lord is when Phil personally slights them. They're as selfish, stupid, and narcissistic as he is. You think if Phil spent his youth being the lackey to a bully, he ever anticipated being his next victim? Neither do Phil's own lackey's today, and when they find out the hard way, it still doesn't teach them anything, because they're just like Phil in that respect too. They don't follow logic, they're a slave to their emotions, just like him.
As for Phil and his begging, it's really as simple as him not being concerned enough with being convincing to bother putting more effort in. Which is largely a product of life failing to give him reason to, as he's not smart enough to give himself reason to at least try and sell his con to more than just folks who rode the short bus to school.
One day this is going to cost him, and it's going to be almost sad to watch, because holy shit is Phil utterly unprepared for what it's going to be like when he can't even beg for money and get it anymore. There are some variables that determine the flow of things, such as whether he outlives his parents, but his doom is inevitable no matter what. It's just a matter of how long it takes before his begging days no longer support him.
